Got the energy to try out a spinning or group power fitness class or maybe you fancy a relaxing dip in the pool?
Then keep your eyes peeled for Burnley Leisure’s Health Week running between 23rd and 29th September.
This year the week will focus on raising funds for Pendleside Hospice as well as inspiring people to up their fitness with a variety of fun and free activities on offer.
The programme of activities will feature free swimming all week at St Peter’s and Padiham leisure centres, MOT health check-ups, bring a friend for free offer, healthy lifestyle advice and great membership deals.
The leisure team will also be hosting an open day to mark the National Fitness Day on Wednesday, 27th September.
Scott Bryce, Burnley Leisure’s operations manager, said: “We are excited to be throwing open our doors and welcoming local people to enjoy our fantastic facilities and help raise money for Pendleside Hospice.
“From free swimming to fitness classes, we will be offering something for everyone, no matter your age or ability.
“We are looking forward to seeing people come down next month with their friends and family to join in the fun.”
The leisure trust has set up a page for online donations making it easy to help the charity. Donations are welcomed at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/blhealthweek with all proceeds going to Pendleside Hospice.
National Fitness Day is the largest celebration of physical activity in the UK and the team at Burnley Leisure is aiming to encourage the community to get active by offering free facilities and activities all day.
