A wide range of fitness sessions are on offer at St Peter’s and Padiham leisure centres for people who want to get fit in 2016.

Burnley Leisure, which has lifestyle gyms, swimming facilities, sport courts and squash courts, is launching its new exercise class timetable on Monday, 18 January to encourage people to get active.

Sessions, led by qualified instructors, run throughout the week and include high intensity circuit classes, weights class, pilates, group fight, step, aqua mix and new for 2016 – pure core, an intensive half an hour workout designed to strengthen and tone core muscles.

Neil Hutchinson, head of Burnley Leisure operations, said: “We want to encourage all residents in the borough to get down to their local leisure centre this year and enjoy the benefits of being active.

“To support this we’re offering new classes and a fantastic reward offer until 14th February, which encourages current and new members to exercise, collect stamps and win great prizes.”

The four-week promotion starts on Monday, 11th January.

The prize draw includes a weekend break, shopping vouchers, professional golf lessons at Prairie Sports Village, meal at Mechanics Theatre, free month membership, personal training and health session, swimming pack, and a theatre show.
