An enthusiastic, and innovative individual is required to join the Up & Active Service in Burnley. As the successful applicant you will be required to work with multiple businesses, to train and assess employees in becoming qualified health champions within the workplace. You will also be required to deliver exercise activities and Weight Management Programmes in a range of community venues.

You must hold a current Level 3 Exercise qualification; a weight management or teacher training qualification would be preferred but is not essential. Flexibility is vital as hours will include evenings and weekends.

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual, experienced in delivering health and physical activity programmes to diverse populations.

You must have experience of setting up and delivering programmes, with experience of managing groups around physical activity and assessing levels of risk to individuals for exercise.

You will be responsible for training and assessing individuals in group settings within the workplace, supporting learners through their training to meet the required qualification learning criteria. You will also be supporting individuals in a group or one to one basis within community settings to increase physical activity levels and to aid weight loss through delivering a variety of exercise activities and healthy eating workshops. You will also be required to monitor and evaluate the project.

The Up & Active service has a number of dynamic lifestyle related projects that are fully integrated through excellent teamwork across Pennine Lancashire. Within this role you will work within the Up & Active Team and become involved in other initiatives and campaigns.
